Ruud Van Nistelrooy Introduction Ruud Van Nistelrooy is an explosive striker who wiill go down as one of the greatest strikers in the illustrious history of Manchester United, scoring in 68% of his matches, a record only surpassed by the late, great Tommy Taylor (68.58% compared with Van Nistelrooy's 68.49%). During his five season spell with United the big Dutchman scored 150 goals in just 219 appearances and helped the club win one League title, one F.A. Cup and two League Cups. After leaving Manchester United in 2006 Van Nistelrooy moved to Real Madrid where he picked up where he left off and to date has scored 64 goals in 90 games for the Spanish giants, finishing La Liga's top goalscorer in his first season. As well as playing for Manchester United and Real Madrid, Van Nistelrooy played for his homeland clubs of Den Bosch, Heerenveen, PSV Eindhoven and the Dutch national side.
