Jack Picken was a Scottish inside forward who played 121 times for Manchester United between 1905 and 1911; scoring 46 goals. Picken made a goalscoring debut on 2 September 1905 in a 5-1 victory over Bristol City – the club he would go on the finish his footballing career with.
In his first reason at United, Picken was largely responsible for the club gaining promotion back to the top tier of English football with an impressive haul of 25 goals in 37 matches. United's forward line of Picken, Jack Peddie, Charlie Sagar and John Beddow scored 65 of United's 90 league goals.
In his six seasons at United Jack Picken won two League Championships (1908 and 1911) and the FA Cup in 1909.
