Fabio Da Silva and twin brother Rafael were spotted playing in a youth tournament in 2005 by Manchester United scout Les Kershaw, who urged Sir Alex Ferguson to sign the pair as soon as possible. So in February 2007 the manager finally completed a deal for the pair, who moved to Old Trafford in January 2008.
Fabio made his Manchester United debut during a 2-0 friendly win over Peterborough at London Road when he replaced French star Patrice Evra
